  Nice renovated old house in the old neighborhood. Close to some attractions (Hypogeum + Tarxien Temples). Very friendly and talkative hosts. No problem with parking close to the property. You stay in the big family house (five children). If you prefer to have a full privacy at quiet place, this property is not for you. If you accept it, you can be... what people say » rewarded with observing the normal (big) family life in Malta. The neighborhood was peaceful. Almost no noise inside from cars. Roosters have ensured - Absolutely recommended! While booking you should consider that it's a family-run guest house - as for us, much more intersting place than a five star hotel. Not for petty-minded finicking people jiggling the staff all the time but respectful ones who are rather curious to a wonderful family living in Malta too.   Last night tonight of a wonderful weeks stay with Violet and Albert at Ta Bertu. A beautiful Maltese home awaits you with all you need for a fantastic holiday. Set in beautiful gardens with a fabulous pool, you are made to feel totally welcome by your hosts who are full of information and helpful advice if you need it. What you do need is a car,... what people say » as the house is off the beaten track (quite literally) and to make the most of the island and all the wonderful places it is a must. Lovely typical - Albert and Violet are a lovely couple and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the pool is lovely and the meals were fantastic and value for money. You must try Alberts home made wine it is delicious (we brought 2 bottles home with us to have at Christmas). We stayed in room 3 but we did not have any of the problems that some other reviewers had. It was not noisey when someone had a shower. Everywhere was accessible by bus and was very easy to use.
