The staff were friendly and helpful, also at this time of year there are quite a few 'more mature' people staying for 4 - 6 week breaks and they were welcoming too. We paid extra for a sea view and it was well worth it; we enjoyed watching the waves and the lights reflected in the sea at night. The location is excellent. One night we ate in the attached Gillieru fish restaurant; it was superb (and a little bit expensive). On the way back to the airport, the taxi driver told us it is the best fi.

I do not understand what all the complaints about the breakfast are. If you want a full english breakfast then pay for one or just enjoy the lovely continental breakfast provided. we had a nice holiday with a comfortable hotel to return to. we will recomend this hotel to everyone. Excellent view. Quiet and relaxing place and location. The hotel is ok if you are not looking for a five star, but a nice place to enjoy the harbour. Staff was friendly and my room was cleaned every day. 5 minutes walking to bugibba village. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. We were very grateful that we were put in a room with a room with an excellent sea view after we approached them on our first night of our disappointment with the room they chose for us. The locality and the hotel were both excellent, the staff were very helpful, services were very good. Everything helped me to have an excellent holiday in Malta. The staff were outstanding, and of course the cleanliness - we ate in the fish restuarant one evening and it was very good. The location for us was perfect. The hotel is in need of some maintenance and the lift was very unreliable. However, the hotel is closing at the end of November 2013 for refurbishment, so it should be excellent next year!. I had some trouble waiting my taxy to the airport last day. He came 30 minutes late. Pay attention, move at least 1 hour before on your expected time. Better waiting at the airport than losing your flight. Breakfast was very ordinary. We would stay there again but prefer breakfast elsewhere. Perhaps a package with or without breakfast. The weather whilst I was in Malta! Still better than uk. That there were no tea making facilities in the room which would have been good. The bed could be more comfortable I am nit-picking really. Definitely the food.They have major problems with the food.Recently changed to outside catering and certainly isnt working.This didnt put us off the hotel as there are an array of eateries surrounding hotel. Rusty pipe on loo. Plaster missing from door frames. Poor "English " breakfast. Very noisy lift. One of the housekeepers hlping themselves to someones Hairspray!. Bathroom slightly worn Restaurant closed early (but a sister restaurant next door remained open). 'Dribbling' shower/ unnecessary self service at restaurant/slapdash presentation of food at times/waiters/waitresses emptying tables while some guests had not finished/ more training required.
