The location is quiet and there is a grocery shop nearby. Great for getting around on foot and with public transport in Sliema/Balluta Bay. The staff are very friendly and helpful. As it is cheap, the level of comfort is what you can expect for the price, but the flat was large and perfectly comfortable (had a balcony, which was great). Location, quiet street, good space for breakfast and spacious enough bathroom and bedroom. Price good. When we finally say the manager on our last morning there, she was very nice, after the very unprofessional communications (regarding payment, see below) that we had received from her upon our arrival.all reviews »
Good location for ferries and Valletta, apartment was spacious, free wifi, friendly staff. The lift is a bit tired, but due to be replaced - still better than carrying suitcases up 4 floors!. Never saw the manager until our last day there. We'd planned to pay by credit card as permitted in reservation notes, then, upon arrival, received a handwritten note from manager requesting immediate payment in cash of the total amout due for 5 nights. We refused, insisting to pay by credit card at the end of our stay. Manager first said credit card machine was broken, then accomodated our request. My husband works in tax enforcement. I fear there may be some efforts at tax evasione going on?.
apartment was a bit tatty in places, in need of tlc. rooms were much hotter than outside at night - we should have booked one with aircon.
