  The hotel was lovely...great food at good prices. It was close to all you could want. I liked being able to make use of all pools and walk through to the water front. We got a water taxi from there to the blue lagoon for the day and dropped back..very handy. Definitely recommended - Staff were very accommodating, both in terms of the stay in the hostel itself and giving us advice on how to get around Malta. The location is excellent, a short walk from Sliema, St Julien's and Paceville, while the bus stop is just 50m away. There is a small general store across the road. Hostel has free internet, tea and coffee making facilities, as well as an extensive kitchen. It was easy to meet fellow hostelers too, and there was a good friendly spirit around the building.

It was really nice to have an AC even if we didn't need it all - The host, Charlie, is a really dedicated personality that understands the needs of persons having a good holiday: spacious room with an excellent bed (you can have a balcony room with a view to the harbour if you order it), always also fresh fruit at the breakfast table, but above all: an omnipresent landlord who cares about you: gives advice, ideas for trips and when he was asked about where to buy capers he brought us some homemade ones the following day, insisting that we accepted them as a
