La Vallette was a really very successful choice of ours. We were very much pleased with its location - very near the main sights and famous restaurants. It's also very comfortable to get to the bus station from the hotel and travel about the island. Our flat with the sea view was very comfortable and homey. Our children were happy to get toy horses as a present and on the whole I should say our emotions during the holiday were extremely positive.

As we were a group of friends, it seemed the right choice for us to book this hotel, and it ended up being a right decision to do so. Albert and Violet are a lovely couple and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the pool is lovely and the meals were fantastic and value for money. You must try Alberts home made wine it is delicious (we brought 2 bottles home with us to have at Christmas). We stayed in room 3 but we did not have any of the problems that some other reviewers had. It was not noisey when someone had a shower. Everywhere was accessible by bus and was very easy to use. The apartment has plenty of space, high quality furnishings and fitting and is generously equipped. It was clean, cool and we felt very much that we were staying in a luxury property.
The architecture and maintenance of the communal spaces add greatly to the experience of staying at Misrah Simar. The pool area is wonderful, the courtyard cool and welcoming. It felt like a retreat into a private, safe and luxury home after a day's excursion.
