Nice renovated old house in the old neighborhood. Close to some
attractions (Hypogeum + Tarxien Temples). Very friendly and talkative
hosts. No problem with parking close to the property. You stay in the
big family house (five children). If you prefer to have a full privacy

Absolutely recommended!
While booking you should consider that it's a family-run guest house - as for us, much more intersting place than a five star hotel.
Not for petty-minded finicking people jiggling the staff all the time but respectful ones who are rather curious to a wonderful family living in Malta too.
Whenever returning to Malta we'll choose them again. Tho we don't have other experiences with accomodation in there, are sure that it just can't be better.

Albert and Violet are a lovely couple and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the pool is lovely and the meals were fantastic and value for money. You must try Alberts home made wine it is delicious (we brought 2 bottles home with us to have at Christmas). We stayed in room 3 but we did not have any of the problems that some other reviewers had. It was not noisey when someone had a shower. Everywhere was accessible by bus and was very easy to use. The building is unique and interesting - nothing boring here, but not too much either. The welcome was just right - the hosts are friendly and hospitable, but not intrusive. They were helpful, kind and accommodating. Everything in the guest house felt well cared-for and clean, and it was exactly what I was looking for.

This is my second time at Bla Dorren, and it has been just right once again! The beautiful building is decorated simply which enhances the beauty of the high ceilings and tile floors and the abundant light from outside. Breakfast is fresh and abundant. The location has been quite convenient, near the bay, near the bus, plenty of dining, and many places to walk. The hosts are kind and attentive, but never intrude.

Friendly welcome which continued throughout our stay. Our room was unique. The breakfast was continental lots of variety,lovely and just right. We stayed at Chapel % for 1 week and had a great experience there. The owner Malcolm & Alex are lovely couple, very kind, gave us lots of help during our stay. We got upgraded to honeymoon suite, and the room is very stylish, we loved it so much. Breakfasts were lovely, plenty of choices. The complimentary 30 min massage was really amazing...

Knights in Malta is a beautiful old property with lovely designed spacious rooms. John and Dee are very friendly and made the stay quite special by e.g. serving malta specialities for breakfast. Naxxar is a great location for exploring Malta as nothing is further then 30min away. We had a small car and could explore the whole island easily. Also most of the good dive shops and dive sites are only 15min away.
We definitely recommend this as the place to stay for your holiday in Malta
