There are plenty of free parking spaces in front of the property. Staff can exchange currency and book tickets for local transport and events. The bus to Malta International Airport stops 50 metres away and also calls at Paola or Valletta.

The approachable and attentive staff. The owner Aldo was customer focused, professional and thoughtful of the needs of the visitors. He provided a customer needs based service. Arranging airport transfers and providing facilities for visitors to freshen up prior to a late evening flight back to their destination. The whole Maltese experience was complimented by the traditional approach and rustic and non clinical environment of Vila del porta. Location was perfect away form the crowds and integ.

We were made most welcome by owner Aldo and his team. Every question was answered in a positive way and our staff was flawless. The Villa del Porto is situated in a quiet part of the three cities and is convenient for local buses, small café/bar and several superb restaurants are a short (perhaps 20 minutes walk or 3 minutes by Aldo's taxi) away on Birgu marina. Aldo is an excellent host. Checks with each guest at breakfast to make sure all is well. Gave helpful site seeing advice and moved me to a quieter room upon request. Breakfast on the rooftop spectacular (food ok). Strong wifi signal. Location is in a quiet harbor about 1 km walking distance along the harbor to good restaurants. Easy bus into Valletta. It was perfect. We had a room on the third floor, with a bathroom. It was cleaned every day. The view from the room was beautiful. Breakfast was nothing special about the normal. The owner is very-very kindly and helpful. Thank you, Aldo!. Great location, perfect for exploring the Three Cities and Valletta. Lovely roof terrace. Aldo, the owner, is super friendly and will happily share his extensive knowledge of the island to plan your activities. The proprietor - Aldo is a great host for whom nothing is too much trouble. Superb views set upon the local townland of Kalkara. Super location situated among the native peoples of Malta. Size of towels in the bathroom. Snagging in the bathroom unfinished. Lack of shelving. Nothing. Don't stay on the ground floor. My room was between the front door and reception desk. The front door is very noisy opening and closing and I was awakened numerous times throughout the night. There was no vegetables for breakfast. Some rooms have more original character than others. These are only minor comments but getting these right would really help. Only one tea bag/coffee sachet in each room. Limited breakfast offering but not a big problem as this is a budget guesthouse. When Aldo moves the breakfast to the top of the building the view will more than make up for it. Short supply of hot water in the shower, may not be a problem in Summer, but could have been better in winter. Terrible coffee!. A lack of water pressure in the shower system!! It takes a while to shower with such low pressure. Juice machine was not working a few mornings.
