When we arrived we were told that due to renovation of our rooms we could not stay at the Pergola but their sister hotel the Solana Hotel 5 mins away. We were not informed either by email/text.I was disappointed but when we arrived in the Solana it was just as nice.Very well kept.relaxing and warm.

The pergola club hotel is unique as it is built into a cliff and hasseven different floors. It is in a great position in a quiet street inthe town centre.This place is amazing value for money compared to other hotels we stayed at in Malta. Incredible selection at the buffet breakfast. Very clean.We got a good apartment, with great view. Buffet breakfast had plenty of everything.The food was Exellent and the in door pool was great . I had a very spacious twin with kitchen area and balcony - very clean and light. Only stayed one night but hotel seemed well run and was very conveniently positioned in relation to the village.best quality/price amongst many hotels, very clean rooms, nice view from top restaurant, good full english breakfast, friendly staff.The aprtment had all the facilities we needed and the restaurant meant we did not have to cook. The breakfeast was good, nearly proper cooked english with proper baked beans plus a range of continental meats, cereals and waffles. The the evening meal buffet style so it was bit dry but okay if you've had a hard day. WIFI access in the communal areas was a bonous.Large studio, nicely furnished with large balcony. Fully equiped kitchen inclucing stove, microwave oven, freezer, fridge. Nice but not so big swimming-pools. Good location. Great views of Comino and Gozo islands.No it was very central to everything and the food was brilliant.They had a great selection for breakfast and also a dinner meal deal to stay in the hotel.Fantastic value!!. I was disappointed when we found our room full of cigarette smoke as wehad specifically asked for a no smoking room - although it did statethis could not be guaranteed. However, the maid did an excellent jobwith the air freshener the next morning!. Jacuzzi was only lukewarm.Hotel parking is very limited.none. If you arrive by bus, you have to climb some steps from the village to get to the hotel reception area (Mellieha village is in a valley) but, once you have your room key (a card, actually) you can enter the hotel via a "guests only" door at at the bottom level and use the lifts.The Hotel is split by a flight of stair so its in two blocks with an access walk way under them. This means getting around the hotel can be a bit of a maze. We had to use 3 lifts just to get to breakfeast! The gym lacked any CV equipment. No treadmill and the exercise bike was broken.Little tricky to locate oneself in rather big complex, 3 different elevators etc.
