all reviews

Hospitality at its best - very helpful staff; good level of gourmet (breakfast); privacy; tranquility, natural beauty of the place. Few minutes drive from centre. Nice ambience and nature all round. Spa area really nice and relaxing. Very friendy staff. The feeling of exclusivity and the remoteness. Also the rooms being individually positioned around the pool areas. Visit twice a year during stay on Malta. Very familiar with the hotel, making us want to visit time after time. Historic and charming property. Beautiful spot for ocean swimming. Interesting design - especially rooms like ours - No 35. Peace and quiet as well as friendly staff. Thé location si perfect and very quiet !. Some small things need a bit of a touch eg: a dust bin in the adult pool toilet is full of rust and bottle opener in the room also rusty, sofa is torn at the edges in the room, Small things that shouldn't be allowed in a 5* Hotel. I would also say the bathrooms in the rooms need a bit of refurbishment. Nothing particular. minor issues - wrong mains plug fitted to kettle; badly mounted air conditioner (still fully functional); damaged bar fridge (but fully functional). Room was in a pretty 'abandoned' area. The passage to get to the room wasnt leveled, all rocks so it was a nightmare getting to my room in heels!. The leak from the bathroom into the bedroom that lasted until we left and the only remedy offered was to put towels down that became soggy and smelly in no time. Main courses in evening meals were unimaginative and poorly cooked. Rooms are becoming a bit old, especially bathrooms. Nothing. It was gréât.
