Location was excellent for getting around any direction in Malta. Definitely recommended for touristy people because there are so many and maybe too many tourist organizers on the other side of the road by the port selling you deals and tour packages. The hotel has free wi-fi and the location is situated in a convenient place with so many restaurants, a big shopping mall, a couple of mc. Donald's, a Burger King, and literally small shops and any possible convenient store you could find in a nor.
all reviews » It's a budget hotel, but clean and appears to have been recently renovated. We were only there overnight so didn't try out the breakfast or the WiFi. The location is absolutely unbeatable--within five minutes' walk of the harbour ferry tours, the ferry to Valletta, and all major bus routes including an express route to the airport. Lots of cafes and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Small fridge and coffee/tea-making facilities included, also a safe. We had a sea-view room, very spacious a. We were up graded to a larger room which was nice, large room large bathroom. Wifi great even on 7th floor. Has 2 elevators and stairs. Can go onto roof to watch sunset over city and there is a hot tub although we didn't use it. Right on port across road from loads of buses, ferries and tour boats. Loads of shops, mall and restaurants right next door. Supermarket and laundrette 5 min walk away. Great cafes outside for breakfast. Staff very helpful and friendly and all speak great english. Loved. The staff, especially Ina, were all friendly and efficient. Ina looks the part of someone in charge of reception and was able to make decisions immediately regarding giving us the rooms earlier than stated which was a bonus. The breakfast was excellent and the view from the breakfast room was stunning. The Oggi Cafe which is in the same building serves wonderful Italian food and their pasta with asparagus is the best pasta dish I've ever tasted. The reception area is as good as the photo sugges. All of the reception staff made it far out of their way to very gladly assist you as traveller with any smaller and bigger daily matters that may come up. Hint: Go for a superior room with sea view - they are large, airy and the Hera and Fernandes cruisers are just mooring underneath your huge balcony - splendid! Locationwise excellent - bus stop from/to the airport (X2) just opposite, plenty of restaurants, bars and shops around. Nevertheless great sleep as most street restaurants/bars in fron. Excellent welcome at the reception. Our room was airy and bright and the view overlooking the small harbour, breath taking. A stones throw away one can get get a ferry or a bus to Valletta for some excellent shopping or take a harbour cruise or a trip to one of the other islands. An excursion on an open topped bus is a must. There are a number of restaurants dotted around the hotel serving a variety of foods at reasonable prices and good quality and upmarket shopping abounds. Excellent location right on the Sliema marina where to boats go out on various cruises. Great views from the sea-facing rooms with balconies- especially nice to get the late afternoon/evening sun on the balcony after a day out! Excellent views from breakfast room on 8th floor. Room was clean, simple and comfortable. Nothing luxurious. Good value for money. Sliema for us was the nicest part of Malta to stay. Just positive. Clean nice, and staff was very helpfull. Breakfast was worth the money. Lokation is perfect, 1 minute, and you could go by bus, or boat. On the evening there was places close to the hotel to eat. We will probably go there in october too. People who has complained, do I just not understand. You have to understand, that it's not a five start hotel. You get a lot for the money. Really enjoyed our stay here. Three stars in cheap price! Comfortable, continent, clean. We booked two days, one for sea view, one for economical room. But we lived in sea view for both days! One of my friend get sick after we check out second, the hotel offer a free comfortable room for her to stay and waiting for us. It's really really nice!!!. Our bed was uncomfortable and too hard. The bathroom basin had some rust on the sides and mirrors weren't clean. There wasn't a main light in the bathroom, making it a bit dark. We had to rely on the mirror light. Only thing we noticed was hot tub wasnt clean so we didn't want to use it but may have been after people in it all day as we went up at sunset. As much as the economy rooms are budget priced and very comfortable there is a loud humming sound all night from the in internal shaft the window looks into. We didn't mind having no view for one night's stay but it was hard to sleep because of the noise. I would definitely stay at the hotel again as I was most impressed but in a more expensive room. Parking in the vicinity of the hotel can be a headache but there are two multi-story car parks about 300 meters away. Not enough towels in the bathroom. The coffee for breakfast was not nice. Could have been improved. The tv in our room fixed in a bad position so you couldn't really lie in bed and watch tv. It would be good to have a bracket on the wall so u can angle the tv to watch while in bed. If I should complain about something, then it should be hard beds. But It's all over in Greece too. :).
