Staff were excellent as is the location beside the little harbour. Very good breakfast and the three course dinner in the restaurant which we had one evening was good value for money. There are several up market restaurants nearby. My bf and I went for a quick weekend break - beautiful location, restaurants and bars all around the hotel which is along the seafront, an absolutely beautiful bay especially in winter when the sea is rough!.

We had stayed at the hotelyears ago and we were favourably impressed by the impressive stepping up all round we found. Room was large, very well furnished and facilities very good. Everything was perfect, I normally don't like the service in Malta but this was just wonderful. Loved the breakfast and the pool on the roof with sea view!. The breakfast with fresh baked bread and loaves and eggs done anyway you like 'on the spot'. The position of the hotel overlooking Marsalforn harbour. Overall this hotel was excellent_ clean, friendly, comfortable and excellent location. The rooftop area/pool was excellent, great views and spacious. I really recommend calypso hotel. The hotel is very clean. The staff is very helpful. And you can enjoy the lovely beach and really good restorants. the look of the hotel, the cleanliness, the hotel rooms especially enjoyed the breakfast selection, which was excellent. Nice but small pool, wonderful views from sea view rooms, good food, helpful staff, clean rooms with good size balcony. The Sunday Buffet was exelent,also the breakfast was very nice ,Dinner was very good and value for the money. Nothing to do with the hotel but building works were taking place on the other side of the bay involving a jackhammer 0700 to 1900. One could not really relax outside on the balcony. Apparantly because we booked through letsbookhotel.com we were asked to pay the full price on check-in (was the first time ever that we were asked to do this) and it was not mentioned anywhere. We stayed only on night and honestly there is nothing to complain about. The receptionists were a bit tired. We didn't like it when the WC wouldn't flush. This was an art which had to be learned. The Sunset bar on the roof was only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. As we spent a lot of our time around the roof top pool by the bar we greatly missed this facility on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. A real minus point about this hotel. The advertised Coffee Shop was not open, hotel should tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. I wouldn't say that I didn't like but ...The Reception staff were polite, but could have been a little more friendly. The springs in the bed seemed to be going and made a noise every time that I moved. and I wish that the pool could have been bigger. Im sorry but 4 euro hire charge is wrong! Please stop charging, this is the first hotel we have been charged for a cot for our baby. It's not the cost that upsets me as its just 4 euro..it's just the sheer cheek of the matter...STOP Charging for cots!! No other problems with hotel but cot issue leaves a bitter taste in ones mouth :(.
