Tämä perheomisteinen bed & breakfast toimii ainutlaatuisessa 1400-luvun talossa pienessä Tarxienin kylässä. Tarxienin muinaistemppelit ovat 5 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä. Yleisissä tiloissa on ilmainen WiFi. Burrow Hostin huoneissa on antiikkikalusteita ja paljaat kiviseinät. Jokaisessa huoneessa kaakeli- tai parkettilattiat. Nice renovated old house in the old neighborhood. Close to some attractions (Hypogeum + Tarxien Temples). Very friendly and talkative hosts. No problem with parking close to the property. You stay in the big family house (five children). If you prefer to have a full privacy at quiet place, this property is not for you. If you accept it, you can be rewarded with observing the normal (big) family life in Malta. The neighborhood was peaceful. Almost no noise inside from cars. Roosters have ensured.

Absolutely recommended! While booking you should consider that it's a family-run guest house - as for us, much more intersting place than a five star hotel. Not for petty-minded finicking people jiggling the staff all the time but respectful ones who are rather curious to a wonderful family living in Malta too. Whenever returning to Malta we'll choose them again. Tho we don't have other experiences with accomodation in there, are sure that it just can't be better. Besides, Tarxien is an excelle. Advance contact with helpful suggestions and advice. Several courtesies were offered over and above the expected hospitality. Any needs were responded too quickly and well. It was nice to be in Tarxien. I met many friendly people in the streets, in shops and on public transit. The Burrow's renovations are well done. Its host family is super. And it is comfortable retreat from whatever the day has otherwise offered the traveller or tourist. This b & b is between Valletta and Luqa airport, handy to both.... and is in a charming old stone building with wooden beams & heritage atmosphere. Host very helpful & interesting, breakfast was good, bed was wonderfully comfortable. Our room had its own sitting area... lots of character. The house is well decorated and renovated. The family are very friendly, welcoming and obliging. A great place to relax and a good base to get a taste of the real Malta, away from the tourist hotspots with good bus access to the whole of the island. The location, the guesthouse, the decor, Chiara, Frank & family, the cuisine, the limoncello, The Burrow wine, the other guests at dinner, The mother in law:) the homemade preserves, Frank's piano music, Malta.... Nice residential urban area with plenty free parking. Proximity to specific pre historic sites, airport and major cities. Nice house in local style, with well designed interior and proper facilities. Great hosts. Very friendly people, good value accommodation, convenient for airport/transfers, quiet location. Very old typically Maltese house. Well furnished and comfortable. Good food. Will definitely return. The owners, Chiara and Frank, were very friendly. We have the opportunity of meeting lot of people from different countries during our stay. The room was fantastic and the hotel very picturesque. Friendly welcome, lovely family. A lot of work has gone into restoring this house and decorating it in an authentic manner. Very helpful with information on local transport and what to see. Average continental breakfast started only at 8:30. The private bathroom was very small, but acceptable for our 3 nights. Our iron bed was squeaky. The noise in ground floor room (the only one with the private bathroom) was a little bit over limit. Because there is an inner window to the common dining room and doors to the living room of the family. Not a good idea for accomodation of guests. We are too impressed to write any negatives. I was very pleased with my stay at The Burrow. My needs were fully met. The bathroom is for our room was v. small, so a large person may not be comfortable. The hand-held shower is part of the bathroom, so water can enter the whole space. I do not know if this is true of any other room. Eating is family style, at one large table which some may not like. Personally we enjoyed it all. There was nothing I didn't enjoy about my stay. A minor coping with the slow draining shower in the toilet, but Chiara and Frank have been working overtime on getting planning permission for full size shower room for this guest room. It did not spoil our holiday as all the positives outweighed this. Extra payment for heating. Address in English on booking site was confusing, should be in Maltise. Tomtom did not accept the English address.

Set in a unique 15th-century house, this family-run guest house lies in the small village of Tarxien. The ancient Tarxien Temples are a 5-minute walk away. WiFi is free throughout the property. Rooms at The Burrow Host feature antique furnishings and exposed stone walls. Each includes tiled or parquet floors. All rooms come with air conditioning, balcony or a patio. The property was renovated in February of 2018. The Burrow Host Guest House is 6 km from Valletta and a 7-minute taxi ride from Malta International Airport. Sandy beaches can be reached in 10 minutes by buses that stop just outside.
