The Grand Hotel Excelsior offers 4 restaurants and 4 bars, featuring a diversified selection of worldwide flavours, Landscaped gardens, Fitness & Leisure facilities and 10 state-of-the-art meeting rooms including a Grand Ballroom and an Exhibition Hall.

Set over 10 floors, all of the hotel’s 439 rooms have been designed with great care and with the latest technological amenities to ensure maximum comfort. All rooms are decorated in a contemporary style with a classic, elegant and sophisticated touch.

Each room has a spacious private balcony, a sofa, a flat-screen TV with international satellite channels, one direct dial telephone in the room and one telephone in the spacious private bathroom. Bathrooms have a large washbasin, a separate shower and a large, deep bath.

There are a number of options for dining and drinking in the hotel.

Admiral’s Landing serves the finest in international cuisine with a Mediterranean twist and offers the hotel’s signature views over Manoel Island and Marsamxett Harbour. The elegant, sophisticated atmosphere provides the ideal ambience for your à la carte dinner, with the sublime food complemented by an extensive wine list.

Castaway Restaurant specialises in stunning Mediterranean, South-East Asian, Middle-Eastern and Caribbean cuisine. Fragrant flavours, unique ingredients and live show-cooking stations really make a meal to remember in this, the hotel’s main buffet-style restaurant.

Enjoy the pleasant outdoor climate from the terrace overlooking the hotel’s attractive landscaped plaza, the perfect setting in which to enjoy Olives’ traditional Maltese and Italian cuisine for a themed lunch or dinner.

Situated on the Piazza Marina, next to the outdoor pool deck, Fountain offers popular pool snacks, refreshing ice cream, and a wide range of beverages throughout the day.

For that cosy English feel, the Chartroom specialises in fine wines, spirits, aperitifs and after-dinner cocktails. The Chartroom’s ambience reflects that of an old-fashioned luxury liner. The perfect way to relax in style.

Drift away to the Caribbean in the Castaway cocktail bar, which specialises in rum and rum-based drinks and cocktails. With exciting entertainment in the evening, the Castaway Bar is the liveliest way to end the day.

With its spectacular views, Harbour View is the ideal meeting place. This lobby lounge bar serves guests and visitors an array of pastries, coffees, and wines throughout the day and into the evening.

When the sun and surf become all too much, try the Tiki Bar, Situated on the pool deck, the Tiki Bar offers refreshing non-alcoholic drinks and light cocktails during the day.

Valletta is Malta's capital city, a UNESCO world heritage site. A walk through Valletta's traditional markets, a stroll around its noble squares or the spectacular Upper Barrakka Gardens overlooking Grand Harbour, will surely promise an unforgettable visit.

Many major airlines offer regular scheduled services between all major European cities and Malta International Airport. Malta's main airline is Airmalta. Furthermore, other airlines have codeshare agreements making Malta available on their listings. These include Air France, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Brussels Airlines, British Airways, Lufthansa, Alitalia, Scandinavian SAS, Emirates, Lauda Air, British Jet, Ryanair, Meridiana and Clickair.

We are pleased to advise that the hotel is now in a soft opening phase. Works are still ongoing during the daytime and are projected to be finalised by the end of March 2008. In the meantime, the following outlets and facilities are in operation:

The Admiral’s Landing Restaurant, The Harbour View Bar, The Chartroom Bar, The Grand Ballroom, 6 Syndicate Rooms, The Main Pool, The Indoor Pool and The Gymnasium. This list will be updated as further facilities and outlets are opened
